A Little About Us!

Mark and Elly Harrison own The Framing Alternative.  We don't have employees so you will always be working with one of us, the owners.  We are corporate refugees having spent many years working for big corporations before purchasing The Framing Alternative in 1999 from its original owners.  We purchased The Framing Alternaive so that we could work together, have a creative outlet and have the flexiblity to spend time raising our daughter.

We take tremendous pride in our work.  Our goal is to have the best custom frame shop on the Seacoast, offering the widest selection, excellent customer service and fine quality.  We have a particular interest in selling antique prints and we do have a large and choice inventory that we sell in our store, on our website , The Red House Collection, and on eBay.  In addition to custom framing and antique prints we sell a variety of limited edition prints, posters and fine art in our store, as well as ready-made frames and frame art supplies for the do-it-yourselfers. 

We also publish and sell our own antique print fine art reproductions.  These reproductions allow our customer to own rare images at a fraction of their original value and in custom sizes too.
